SME in Schools – K-12 Students

The Department of Science/Mathematics Education at UT Dallas hosts activities and camps for under-served and underrepresented populations in STEM, such as the Women in Physics Camp, targeting between 50 and 70 middle and early high school students each summer.

Faculty members have written curriculum for free distribution to schools and teachers, and have designed numerous Science Night exhibits and put on Science Night events in local schools often with the help of our student organization volunteers

Recently retired faculty ran competitions and programs for talented mathematics students including the local Metroplex Math Circle,
